Mac-User :: People and their Macs

Tonight I was doing a lot of reading about parallels/vmware and bootcamp. As I was hammering google with search after search I stumbled upon a post where a long time PC user was weighing the pros and cons of switching to a MacBook Pro. I read his post as well as the responses and began to think about all of the pros and cons which were presented to me. Were the reasons I switched to a MBP the same reasons I am happy I made the switch? I had an epiphany!

My switch to a Macbook Pro from a PC has been a great experience and it just got better!
I play a fair amount of poker online and my poker room of choice is Pokerstars.com.
I was using my notebook computer as apposed to my Macbook simply because I had read that pokerstars did not offer a download for OS X.

I’m not a big fan of the PC vs. Mac war. I really couldn’t care any less about which someone prefers. For me PC has been the better option for a long time.
Now, Mac is the better option for me.

Well, mac-user has been on the shelf for a long, long time. I can’t tell you how many times I have written a blog entry only to not get around to actually posting it. Tonight’s the night and for good reason!

So what was the compelling reason to begin. My NEW Macbook Pro arrived!

Mac-user is, in a nut shell, a blog about people and their Macs. Of course there will be the requisite “Tips and Tricks” on occasion. We’ll be sharing insight on the software we are using and I’m sure you’ll hear a little whining every now and again (not from me though). But overall we’re doing this to have fun and should I say it “poke” fun.

So without further adieu I am now off to Christen this baby with a “real” blog entry.
